This site is dedicated to the memory of Hazel Furley.

We are sad to report the unexpected death of Hazel Isla Furley (née Trew). She died peacefully in the early hours of Sunday 27th March 2011 with her sons Andrew and Jonathan at her bedside. Hazel was the dearly loved Grandma of David, Nicky, Jonathan and Caitlyn, and friend to many. We miss her sorely, but know that she is back with her dearly missed husband, John. Hazel and John spent many years sailing the south coast of England, the Channel and the north coast of France, with family and friends. They were great supporters of the RNLI and loved the freedom that life by the sea brings. Throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream.
